We Challenge You! Get the Attitude for Gratitude

Thanksgiving is often recognized as a day to be thankful and to show our gratitude for everything in our lives. Although it is wonderful to give thanks on this day and to celebrate Thanksgiving with our closest friends and family, we each have so much to be thankful for every day! Taking time out of our day to be appreciative of every person or object in our lives is also proven to make us happier.

If you think about it, it makes sense. I know when I start thinking about all of the wonderful people in my life, the places I’ve been, the opportunities I have and the abundance of tangible things in my possession, I can’t help but smile and feel so blessed!  I saw this quote a while ago and always revert back to it when I catch myself feeling down, “If you woke up tomorrow with what you were thankful for yesterday, what would you have?” If we each spent five minutes of our day being mindful of all of the magnificent blessings in our life, how much happier would we be? Acknowledging all of the good things we have going, quickly diverts our attention to positivity and keeps our smiles bright.

The next time you feel alone or empty, take a few minutes to grab a pen and paper and write down as many things as possible that you are thankful for. Your dog, the clothes on your back, the food in your refrigerator, your children and spouse, your new shoes, your favorite book, your health and well-being and the freedom and opportunity that Reliv can provide.  Whatever it is, give thanks and be grateful. We only have one life to live so why not live every day happily!

As Thanksgiving is approaching and we are paying more attention to giving thanks and being grateful for the abundant blessings in our life, we encourage all of you and ourselves to celebrate giving thanks each day rather than just on Thanksgiving! We challenge you to take an extra five minutes out of your day to give thanks.
