BetheChangeCongratulations to this year’s winner of the “Be the Change” fundraising challenge, Kevin Pond! Kevin also just happens to be a member of the winning team, the Primordial Penguins from Southern California!

Kevin will be joining the Reliv Kalogris Foundation staff for the annual papa Noel trip to Haiti this weekend. We have also extended an invitation to our second and third place finishers, Jim & Sandy Schaben and Chris & Karin Ederer.

The trip will include a party complete with gifts for the kids in the Children’s Home, as well as a visit to three schools and a clinic, including distribution of morning shakes at one of the sites. Bringing joy to the Children’s Home is always a perfect way to start the holiday season. Congratulations to our winners and THANK YOU to all Distributors who helped the RKF Be the Change this year!

Be the Change!

BetheChange-webThe Reliv Kalogris Foundation announced at the Next Level International Conference in Kansas City that last year’s “Be the Change” Challenge brought in over $50,000 for the Foundation!  Thanks to all of you who participated. Winner Betty Andrews raised more than $7,000, and her two runners-up, Louise Kohl and Robert & Lauren Laird, added another $8,000 combined. Betty and husband, Ken, will join us at the Reliv Children’s Home Christmas party in Haiti in December.

The challenge continues! This year’s theme is “Be the Change — a Little Goes a Long Way.” Everyone won’t go to Haiti or raise $1,000+, but every little bit helps. Raise $25, for example, and you will help us feed five kids for a month.

So what can you do? Sponsor an event. Open your own FirstGiving page. Challenge someone to a friendly fund-raising competition. It all helps our Reliv kids. This year’s challenge runs from August 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. Get on board, and BE THE CHANGE! For details, check Facebook or call Reggie at 636-733-1395.

Be Kind to Humankind, Part 3

BeKindHumankind-web

In our third and final installment celebrating Be Kind to Humankind Week, we’re taking a look at the amazing work the Reliv Kalogris Foundation does here in the United States and the ways you can get involved.

The Reliv Kalogris Foundation’s mission to Nourish Our World doesn’t just international needs, but also includes our efforts in providing nutrition to organizations in the United States. Our Distributors have identified groups in their own communities who are in need of a good nutrition program, and it is through these referrals that we continue to expand our support. If you know of or are involved with such an organization that might be a good fit, please fill out an application for a U.S. Program.

Our international programs continue to flourish and in 2012 we had the addition of a new clinic and a commitment for a new nutrition center, both located in the Philippines. Such projects enable our volunteers to provide a clean and safe environment for their daily feedings and utilize the buildings for additional services they are able to offer to their community. The Foundation is proud to be able to provide good nutrition to the thousands of malnourished and undernourished children in its programs, and its building projects take the commitment to these children to the next level by helping them with their education, medical needs and in many cases, a place of worship. None of this work would be possible without the support of our Distributors and Donors.

Check out the Foundation’s latest building project, Welfareville, located in the Philippines.
