How To Promote Your Events On Social Media

shakeparty

By Content & Social Media Specialist Michaela Mitchell

Events are the lifeblood of your network marketing business. From shake parties and in-homes to opportunity meetings, conference calls and Facebook Lives, there are so many different types of business-building events nowadays! You may feel overwhelmed by the thought of promoting your next event, but it truly has never been easier to promote an event than now because of social media.

I’m not telling you to stop sending physical invitations or your favorite evite, but social media is the icing on the cake. Or should I say whipped cream on your Reliv shake? It’s that extra step to get you in front of the most new eyes as possible and can give you the extra wave of guests you need.

Setting up a Facebook event is actually super easy. You simply go to “Events” on the main Facebook homepage, click “Create Event,” and you’re ready to insert your information. Just make sure you create a public event so that anyone in your local area will be able to see it.

This is what you’ll see:

event blog

You can customize the entire event with your information and a description. I recommend including any information in the description that you think someone new to Reliv would need to know. Explain to them why this event is worth their time and what fun activities you have planned! Will there be a free shake bar? A free workout? I also recommend you use a high-quality photo from a previous event as the “Event Photo.” If you don’t have one you, check out what Reliv Corporate has available on Flickr.com/Reliv. Remember, this could be a prospect’s first impression of your business so make sure you keep it professional but exciting!

After you have your event set up on Facebook, promote, promote, promote! Marketing your event is crucial. Invite all your friends via Facebook and ask them to share it with their friends. If you invite 30 people and each of them invite 5-10 people, think about how successful your event can be. Sharing is key and will help you build up your brand on social media. Even if not everyone can make it, you are exposing them to your business just by inviting them.

Once you’ve promoted your event and invited as many people as you can, it’s always fun to post teasers in the event so that people know what to expect. For example, post a recipe that you will share with guests or ask them to choose between two. Get them involved and engaged prior to your event so they will be comfortable and more excited to attend your event. Build up the hype!

Events are so much fun and social media makes promoting them so easy. Make sure you tag us @Reliv International when you create an event on Facebook of your very own!

What Does A New Distributor Do in the First 48 Hours?

officeengagement

By President of Sales & Marketing Tom Pinnock

Congratulations, you just signed up as new Reliv Distributor, so let’s talk about what you need to do in the first 48 hours. If you haven’t done this already, your first step is to get with your upline and let them know what your goals are. For example, let’s say that your desire is to become a true entrepreneur and do Reliv full time. That was my goal when I first started, and it was the smartest thing that I ever did. Indeed, there is nothing like being your own boss and having the freedom in your life to work when you want, play when you want and never miss an important event again because you’re stuck at the office.

Now, if you have an amazing sponsor who is actively doing the business, you are on your way. Be a sponge. Learn from your upline and don’t hesitate to use them as you go out there and talk to new people. The truth is that all successful network marketers learn to master a set of very simple and repeatable skills.

For the purpose of this blog, let’s pretend for a moment that I’m your sponsor.

Now that I know you want to be your own boss and become a professional network marketer, let’s get started. Let’s begin by understanding that we need to treat our business like a business. I like to say, “See it big but keep it simple.” As entrepreneurs, we need to be both disciplined and focused, we need to be plugged into the company as well as our local systems, and we need to know how to find and use the fabulous tools that Reliv provides for us.

Speaking of, let’s go through the Reliv website starting with the product wheel so that we get a basic understanding of our powerful nutritional lineup. All of us begin with our core nutrition which is either Reliv Now® with Soy, Reliv Now® with Whey or Reliv Classic®. You must be a product of the product because you can’t sell what you don’t use or believe in. I go as far as to tell new folks that if they don’t love our products, you can’t be a Distributor.

The next thing I’m going to do with you is to go through our lucrative marketing plan so that you have a basic understanding on how you’re going to make money. Again, all of this information is readily available on our website, which makes teaching today so much easier than ever before. “I just show people how to push buttons,” said Reliv Hall of Famer Jim Schaben. “It’s so simple and duplicatable.”

Now that I know your goals and you have a basic understanding of our products and business, I want to go to the next step. So let’s get you signed up for the Reliv Mobile App, get you hooked up with your own Reliv Personal Website and dedicate a nice spot in your home to do your business. Having an organized area just for your Reliv business is important, and now that you’ve got all the right tools, you’re now ready for the next step. Let’s go through the basic training together. We call that ICSAR, and it stands for the five simple steps that we do over and over again: Identify, Connect, Share, Ask, and Register.

Let me mention, too, that when I’m showing new Distributors the Reliv Mobile App or the website, I let them do the navigation because it helps them learn faster. Also, in today’s world, you can go online and help your new prospects through these steps even if you live across town or across the world. That’s one of the major reasons that today’s network marketing is so much easier and more powerful than ever before!

And here’s the most important part: Together, I want to make a list of at least 50 people you know who either need these products or this opportunity. Then, we will begin calling them and setting appointments. The truth is, I know of no better way to teach you the business than being right there with you whether it’s in person or on the phone as we share the hope of Reliv with others. Furthermore, nothing gets a new person more excited than putting money in their pockets right away. And to keep you excited and on track during these first 48 hours, I’m also going to introduce you to leaders and stories throughout our close knit community so that you understand that you’re in business for yourself but not by yourself.

So that’s your first 48 hours! Our kickoff to building a mighty business together! And let’s not forget that as we go on this journey that we are going to have fun, get healthy, we will grow and change peoples’ lives, we will nourish the hungry with the Reliv Kalogris Foundation, and travel the world together! Indeed, we are going to do life together and put a dent in the universe. Here we go!

How Do I Plan On Earning Hawaii?

AlohaHawaii BLOG

By Senior Director Dawn VanAmberg

How will I earn the Aloha Hawaii Promotion? For starters, I am asking everyone I meet if they would like to go to Hawaii together, which of course leads to questions that I am happy to answer regarding this amazing promotion. I have some simple guidelines I share on how they can earn the trip too:

Set Your Goals: Ask yourself how many points you want to earn. Are you going for the 60pts minimum or the extra nights and cash? My goal is to be in the top 5 with lots of new and excited Distributors in my organization who want to travel the world together. By building my business with passion and excitement for Hawaii, others will want to follow.

Talk To Everyone: I’ve been talking up a storm with everyone including my hot, warm and cold markets, active and inactive Distributors and customers. I am filling up my pipeline with new Quick Starts, customers and future prospects. With consistent follow up of stories, some are becoming Master Affiliates, and if I help, four frontline Distributors earn the trip I will earn it too, which is a win-win for us all.

Stay Focused: This promotion is so exciting because it isn’t just about me and personal volume; it’s about doing what we’ve been taught to do—focus on helping people get what they want and you’ll get what you want. So I am focusing on the islands of Hawaii with 100 points and lots of fun people all around!

Motivation: I keep the Hawaii promotion in front of me all the time by displaying the tracking sheets, aloha signs and lei’s hanging in my office, on the refrigerator and bathroom mirror. My motivation is to take whoever wants to go with me and watch their lives change with a Reliv Trip.

dawn blog

Inspiration: Hawaii is on my bucket list to return to with my husband to celebrate our anniversary. There’s nothing better than celebrating on the sandy beaches of the most beautiful place on earth than with all your friends in Reliv. Follow your dreams and help others do the same. Let’s go to Hawaii together!

Simple Changes To Make This Your Year

tinaerin blog

By Director of Marketing Erin Koch & Director of Product Development & Fit3 Trainer Tina Van Horn

This is the year to better your health, boost your business and find the new you! We have collaborated to make a list of simple changes you can make in 2019 to make this your year!

Trainer Tina’s Health & Fitness Tips

  • Pack your lunch instead of eating out. This will not only be better for your diet, but also for your wallet!
  • Make a delicious dessert-inspired Reliv shake instead of sugary alternatives. There’s no better way to end a meal than with the best core nutrition available.
  • Walk while you talk. Get moving during your meetings and phone calls to minimize your inactivity.
  • Squeeze in a 30-minute workout during your lunch break. This solves your problem of not wanting to wake up earlier or being too tired after work. Lucky for you, the Fit3 workouts are all accessible on the Reliv Mobile App!
  • Carry a water bottle everywhere you go. Ideally, you should be consuming at least nine glasses of water a day, but this can also depend on your weight and activity level.
  • Meditate for five minutes. Whether it be in the morning or during the workday, or even at night, taking the time to reflect on your day and just being present makes a big difference to your overall mood.
  • Set a kitchen curfew. Don’t eat after a specified time you have set for yourself. For example, I try not to eat past 8 p.m.
  • Tweak a favorite recipe by replacing or reducing added sugar and unhealthy fats, even if that simply means drinking your coffee black or using dates to sweeten your favorite treats.
  • Track everything you eat for just one day. Keep a notebook and you’ll be surprised by the amount of “just one bite” or samples sneak into your day.
  • Use a smaller plate at meal times. This classic trick will help you train your brain to be better at controlling portion sizes.

Marketing Expert Erin’s Business Branding Tips

  • Be the brand. You represent your business, so wear or carry gear with a Reliv or Fit3 logo on you when you’re on the go. You will be amazed at the prospects you get who will ask you “What’s Reliv?” or “What’s Fit3?”
  • Define who you are. Write down 3-5 topics that you are passionate about and use that to write your online bio and one-minute story. Your story could be about the Reliv products, the Reliv business or both. But it has to be authentic to you and your brand. If you don’t know who you are, your prospects won’t either. And remember that people only buy from those they know, like and trust.
  • Get the Reliv Mobile app. If you’re in business in today’s world, you need technology that goes with you. This is the EASIEST and FASTEST way for you to share videos and websites with prospects, place orders and signup someone on the go. Plus, who wouldn’t love to get instant notifications with every new order, new customer or new Distributor?! We have seen our Distributors who use this app take their business to new heights! Plus, they are the FIRST ones to hear about a new sale, promotion and exclusive videos.
  • Use professionally designed marketing materials. As a Reliv Distributor you have the benefit of having an entire marketing team who has done all of the hard work for you! Using beautifully designed presentations, brochures, event signage and more makes you look like a pro, plus it gives you more time to build your business! We want people to look at you and know right away that you’re a Reliv Distributor. Get logos, beautiful product photos, incredible before and after weight loss photos and so much more at flickr.com/reliv. Just click the “Albums” tab and click the down arrow to download the images. Then you simply email the images to your local print shop. You can also click the right arrow to share images online with your prospects – so easy!
  • Host a Shake Bar. Invite your friends and their friends over for a fun shake bar and watch your product sales grow! We have delicious recipes on Flickr that you can send to your local print shop, so you look like an expert! This is such a fun way to introduce someone new to our products… and they will always remember how delicious it tasted. Just be sure to have plenty of product on hand for purchase.
  • Start a Fit3 workout group. Pick one or two days a week to get together and do one of our Fit3 workouts. Invite new people each week, encourage your team to do the same, and watch your team and business grow! Public places like a park or community center are even better and you should have a sign that welcomes new people.
  • Host a Girlfriends’ Getaway. This does NOT have to be complicated. The point is to get your girlfriends and their friends together to have fun and to show them how they can get healthier and live happier! Serve shakes, have a dance party, host a clothing swap day, meet for a walk in the park…there are so many ways to get together and have fun. We were amazed at the turnout at our Girlfriends’ Getaway last summer and plan to do more in 2019. But why wait for us when you can host your own! If you need tips, check out our Reliv Facebook Page and click the “Videos” tab. You’ll see our Shake Chat on Shake parties, which has tips to get you started!
  • Go to Reliv Live. Pick a city, but make sure you get there! Why? Because you are investing in YOURSELF. Going to Reliv Live is telling yourself that you’re worth investing in – and you are! You’re going to leave with inspiration, a notebook full of new ideas and motivation that will give your business a push forward in 2019. Plus, let’s not forget that there is nothing more fun than a Reliv event with all your friends! Invite at least two new people to go with you and let them catch the spark of inspiration they need too! Check out the fun cities and start planning your getaway now at reliv.com/events.
  • Tell someone new about Reliv today! All the other tips listed will help you do this. That is the first step in truly building your business.

We hope these tips will help you make 2019 the best year ever! Try one at a time and you’ll reach your personal wellness and business goals in no time.

Three Solutions to Bummer Resolutions

RecognitionNote

By Copywriter Dena Molen

Most New Year’s resolutions don’t make it to Super Bowl Sunday. Why is that? Answering this question and breaking down the challenges associated with keeping New Year’s resolutions can actually serve as a strategy for sticking to your goals, no matter what time of year you implement them.

  1. Problem: New Year’s resolutions are usually more subjective than objective. For example, “I’m going to get fit and eat healthier,” is not specific enough. Broad goals like this are tough to measure.

Fact: Goals that are measurable and specific are much more attainable.

ReSolution: Instead of looking to an entire year to achieve your goals, break it down into weeks. Then, make your “goal statement” measurable: “Beginning (insert date) until (insert date), I will go to the gym twice a week,” or “For the next three weeks, I will get my daily steps in using my fitness tracker.”

  1. Problem: New Year’s resolutions tend to be more of a “wish” than an “action.”

Fact: People who clearly describe their goals in the written form and create vision boards (pictures, images or drawings) are 1.2 to 1.4 times more likely to reach their goals. The physical act of writing down your goals helps with long term memory and creates a lasting imprint along your cognitive network.

ReSolution: Use the S.M.A.R.T. goal-writing system and paste magazine clippings, images, photos, or drawings next to each goal. These tactile strategies work wonders on the brain and goal success.

  1. Problem: January resolution timing is just plain awful. Really, right after the holidays and in the dead of winter? We’re exhausted mentally, physically, and financially! And we’re still recovering from the fun of New Year’s Eve. Let’s face it: It’s not the most conducive time to make that “mindset shift” which is at the core of every personal commitment.

Fact: February is a better time to join a gym than January!

ReSolution: Start small and don’t start January 1st. Give yourself time to recover from the stress of the holidays. Then, once you’ve mapped out your goals, think about when you can realistically make an internal shift to better focus on those incremental, daily changes. Once you see small victories, you’ll be much more likely to conquer the big ones!

How are you going to reconstruct your New Year’s resolutions to make them work this year? Comment below!

How Commitment Leads To Success

RyanCommitment.jpg

By CEO Ryan Montgomery

Resolution season is here and we can all recall famous quotes on how commitment is the key to achieving any of your goals in the New Year. Sometimes they can be cliche, but we all know these declarations are true.

“Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality.” Abraham Lincoln

“Most people fail, not because of lack of desire, but because of lack of commitment.” Vince Lombardi

To me, commitment simply means doing what you said you were going to do; yet, commitment is the hardest thing for everyone. Saying you’re going to do something is quite different than actually doing it. The “doing it” is the hard part. Life is busier than ever trying to constantly multitask, so focusing on what’s important is a challenge, but essential. What we focus on will grow. As the saying goes, “People are often a mile wide and an inch thick,” which means we over-commit or don’t have our true priorities clear and allow things to get in the way. It’s easy to start something and it has become increasingly easy to quit. Signing up for something is as easy as saying “I’m IN.” Quitting is as easy as saying “I’m OUT.” Some people start and essentially quit in the same day because they never take the first step. As my mother used to say, “It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish.”

We all witness the challenge of commitment every year with the most popular “get fit” resolutions. The prevailing belief is that getting fit will lead to better health—no argument there. Motivation and the desire to be fit helps us get started, but commitment is what drives behavior after our belief, motivation and mood fades. This is usually where the breakdown occurs. We’ve all heard stories of purchasing an annual gym membership with only one visit on January 2nd.

Commitment leads to action which leads to results, whether it be in your business or getting fit. Anything worth achieving comes with actions you might not always want to do…such as going to the gym after work or following up with customers and Distributors. We all agree that consistency with certain actions is necessary to getting fit or building retention and growth in this business. Everybody wants success, but only a few are willing to do the daily actions that are necessary to succeed. Commitment is about choices—to do or to procrastinate. If a goal is truly worth achieving, we must choose to commit to actions that bring us closer to it.

It’s January 2019. I encourage you to make a 7-month commitment to qualify for Hawaii. Create a plan of action for each month from now until July. Familiarize yourself with the Hawaii Promotion point system if you haven’t already, and plan your path with specific goals to earn points for sponsoring and rank advancement. You can even break it down into “points per month.” If you’re just now getting started, 60 points wins your way which is at least 9 points per month for the next 7 months.

I may sound like I have all the answers for this subject, but truth is, I don’t. I’m not sure anyone can truly claim to be 100% committed to multiple goals all the time. Honestly, I’m writing this article for myself just as much as I’m writing it for you. My resolution for 2019 is to commit to daily action to modernize Reliv and make our business better every day. Together, let’s commit to prosperity and growth in 2019! There’s no better time than right now!

Start The New Year Off Right

tom 2

By President of Sales & Marketing Tom Pinnock

It’s a new year and that means getting focused on what you want to accomplish in the next 12 months. Where do you want your business to be by the end of 2019, and what are you going to do to get there? Here are a few things that I did to help me build a worldwide distribution network that paid me millions of dollars. It just might help you too!

For starters, let’s be clear on who we are. We are a wellness company that focuses on three things: We help people better their health with our powerful nutritional products, we excel in helping people become successful entrepreneurs, and together we nourish the hungry children of the world through the Reliv Kalogris Foundation. That’s the lineup that I fell in love with more than 30 years ago, and the fact is I’m more excited about our mission today than ever before. Those are our three pillars, and they are rooted in our sincere belief that we can make an impact on the world by raising up a community of positive people who work together and who all share this important vision.

I think it’s also important to understand the way we do these things. Simply put, we do our business by finding out what other people want and then working hard to help them get it. They might be looking for better health, more income, a chance to travel, friendships, a way to give back or just have fun. Whatever it is, I am confident that our heartfelt and hardworking community can help them find a healthier and happier life. After all, that’s what we do.

So set your goals for 2019 and decide where you want to be by the end of the year. Can you see yourself as a new Presidential Director sitting on the beaches of Hawaii surrounded by your family and Reliv friends? Now that’s a pretty picture, but to get there you need to take action every day.  That means you need to stay plugged in to the company, learn from your up-line, and support your local systems.

Pretty simple isn’t it? Make your goals, know how to share Reliv from your heart, and consistently talk to people every day. Do these things and I’ll see you in Hawaii, and you better believe we’re going to celebrate. Aloha!

How To Set Goals For 2019

NewYearsResolutions

By Content & Social Media Specialist Michaela Mitchell

Goal setting is a common theme for this time of year. As one year ends, another begins with the promise of a fresh start and clean slate. There is no better time than now to reflect on what worked this year, what didn’t, and what your biggest opportunities for growth are in your business. Before we go any further, I want you to grab a piece of paper and a pen. This is a quick activity to help you refocus and set your goals for 2019.

Let’s begin.

Fold your paper into three columns and write the following headings over each column:

What did I do well in 2018?
What am I proud of?

What could I have done better?

What will I change for 2019?
S.M.A.R.T. Goals

First, determine if you want to focus on your business, fitness, personal, or other goals in this moment. I encourage you to try this for different aspects of your life as time goes on. Take five minutes and think about these questions. You can always come back to them if you have a lightbulb moment in the shower or right before you fall asleep. That always happens to me!

Write down what you think you did really well this year. For example, did you earn a higher level? Did you grow your organization? Did you increase your check? Did you get more customers or a new MA? Did you attend Reliv events? Did you take your business in a new direction?

Then, write down what you could have done better. Could you have reached out to a few more people each week? Could you have attended Reliv Live? Could you have built up your social media presence? Could you have followed up more with prospects and customers? Did you take advantage of all of Reliv Corporate’s resources? Whatever it is, there is no judgment—only personal growth opportunities!

The third column is my favorite. It’s time to focus on the new you that you will build up over the next year. Write down a few things that come to mind immediately when you see the question. What will you change for 2019? Set S.M.A.R.T. goals for yourself.

S.M.A.R.T. goals consist of the following:

Specific: State exactly what you want to do with specific action words. For example, “Earn the Hawaii Trip.”

Measurable: Provide a way to evaluate your goal status. For example, “Use the Aloha Hawaii point tracking sheet.”

Achievable: Make your goal possible and realistic! For example, “Get two Master Affiliates every month” NOT “Earn 100 points this month.”

Relevant: Does it make sense to your business or personal life? For example, “The Aloha Hawaii Promotion will build my business.”

Time-Bound: Give yourself a deadline. For example, “I have until July 2019 to earn all my points for Hawaii, but I want to be done by June!”

S.M.A.R.T. goals are the best way to set goals for yourself. Always write them down and look at them once a week or so. You want to be continuously working toward your goals to make your year the best one yet! Do this activity as many times as you want and share it with someone else you think will benefit from it. This can be used for your fitness goals, business goals, social media goals and more. In fact, I encourage you to set goals for each of these! What will you do to make 2019 the best year yet?

How To Face Your Fears As A Woman Entrepreneur: The Fear of Winning

JOYCEblog

By Hall of Fame Member & Presidential Platinum Ambassador Joyce Ferguson

So there’s this new Reliv bonus and it’s a big one, in many ways bigger than any other promotion in Reliv’s 30-year history. Yes, people have won trips to Rome, Greece, and even Hawaii and other marvelous spots around the world. Yes, many Distributors have enjoyed Reliv’s generosity with bonuses over the years, but the big difference between this bonus and all those other ones is this: Nobody has a head start on volume, there is not a limited amount of Distributors that can qualify, and every single step of it builds your business. You could win it—even if you are just starting your Reliv business now.

Does that scare you?

If you have been hanging out in your Reliv business for a while, complacent with your paycheck, happy with the products but not really helping many new people, you can win a lot of cash and a trip to Hawaii just by going back to work over these next few months.

Does that scare you?

Maybe you’ve been distracted and sidetracked in your Reliv business, halfway convinced that you just can’t do it or that it really isn’t for you. You’ve needed some catalyst to refocus and motivate you. Now Reliv has given you just that—a BIG reason to get going and remember why you started in the first place!

Does that scare you?

Or maybe you’ve just started out with Reliv and don’t feel like you can participate in such a grand promotion. Let me tell you, you CAN do this. Reach out to new people and build your business. Hawaii will be there on the horizon.

Does it scare you to think you just might win this thing?

In business, we have two very real fears—the fear of failing and the fear of succeeding. We rehearse failure fears in our minds so often that we become very familiar with them. We might try and fail; we might insult a friend by offering the world’s best nutrition to improve their health. We might embarrass ourselves by sharing a fantastic, proven business model with someone we love who desperately needs a break. We know those fears very well.

But what about the fear of succeeding…the fear of winning?

Sometimes those fears really are the ones that hold us back. We fear that life will change and we will have to change if we succeed. We fear that there might be more within us than we thought or that if we really put our minds to it and try we could have so much more money, security and laughter in our lives. We fear that there could be great rewards and some amazing things might happen if we just go back to basics and let ourselves care again.

What do we do about that kind of fear? We have to ‘want to’ succeed enough to get over the fear of actually doing it. We must ‘want to’ get back into the game and win again. We need to ‘want to’ have the kind of life we dreamed of even if it means that we will change and grow. We must ‘want to’ get started!

When I was a child, my very southern grandmother did not like it when my excuse for not doing what I needed to was, “I don’t want to.” She used to say, “Honey, you just gotta get your ‘want to’ back!”  Maybe we all need to think about looking for that ‘want to’ and getting it back into our Reliv lives. Wanting to could be enough to make us do it and doing it could mean that we win a cash bonus or a big trip to Hawaii next year.

Working hard for this bonus could banish the fear of succeeding forever, whether we win big or simply build our Reliv business because we tried!
