We at Reliv are very excited about the positive impact LunaRich® is having in the lives of Reliv Distributors and customers around the world. These tremendous results have sparked interest from news media, as many of you have seen with the recent segment airing on the ABC affiliate in Boston. However, as a nutritional science company, Reliv must ensure that the message conveyed regarding the effect of lunasin delivered through Reliv products is consistent with what is permissible by FDA and FTC regulations.
This recent story that aired was not reviewed by Reliv management and certain statements relating to lunasin research were taken out of context and associated with our products. As a result, some of the content added to the story should not be used to promote the sale of Reliv products. Reliv products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Reliv makes no claims to that effect, except for the FDA-approved heart disease health claims related to soy protein and phytosterols.
While we are aware of the ongoing research and articles related to lunasin and cancer, under no circumstances may Reliv’s products be marketed as preventing or treating cancer, or any other disease. Reliv chose to develop LunaRich because lunasin has many health benefits and synergistically fits within the Reliv product line to enhance the overall wellness of every individual consuming our products. With this in mind, we ask that Independent Reliv Distributors refrain from using the ABC Boston story to promote Reliv, including via social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. Thank you for all you do to advance our shared mission to Nourish Our World.
