Since becoming a Reliv Distributor four years ago, a highlight of my year has been the International Conference. It’s a time when all my Reliv friends old and new converge on St. Louis with a common goal: sharing hope with the world.
International Conference is all about getting to see a much bigger picture of Reliv. Through the years I have been left with different impressions. My first conference I was overwhelmed by how many lives Reliv changes. Another year, I was struck by how quickly Reliv could respond after an earthquake in Haiti. This year, I was blown away by how much bigger Reliv is getting.
Bigger Picture of the Global Picture
As I walked into the hall on Thursday night I found myself looking at several boxes on tables lined next to the control booth. It turns out that each of these booths housed a translator for our fellow Distributors from around the globe! Many of these Distributors came from Europe this year.
France, Italy, Austria, Germany and many more were all represented at conference. For years I have known that Reliv is represented around the globe. Hearing all these languages and having them physically represented showed the reality that Reliv is growing internationally.
Watching how many international Distributors were recognized on stage solidified that Reliv isn’t just growing internationally, it is exploding!
Bigger Picture of the Leadership
Integrity, quality, trust, changing lives, giving back; these are all attributes of a big person. A big person is someone who is important but makes you feel important. The leadership of Reliv has a lot of big people in it. This year saw the promotion of two big men to two very important positions.
Ryan Montgomery is now the president of Reliv International and R. Scott Montgomery now is president of Reliv Asia. These are two of the biggest men I have ever met. They are committed to bringing the hope of Reliv to even more corners of the world and to empowering the Reliv Distributors tasked with doing this. Their father, Chairman and CEO Robert Montgomery has built an incredible foundation that stands as a jumping off point for the future of Reliv!
Things are happening at Reliv International and the future is looking very exciting!
Bigger Picture of a Reliv Distributorship
Looking at the bigger picture of Reliv at International Conference helped develop a bigger picture of the potential of each Reliv Distributorship. The dream the Reliv compensation plan can do doesn’t have to end at that blue number on the presentation slides — it just begins there! For me, this conference really unleashed the excitement of what my Reliv Distributorship can do. We’ve only just scratched the surface of where we can go with Reliv.
I wasn’t the only person who saw a bigger picture of Reliv at this International Conference. Several friends of mine — with whom I get to work thanks to Reliv! — also made similar observations:
“I have always been impressed with the way that Reliv impacts people’s lives. But the more people I talk to and more I saw what the Kalogris foundation is doing it really hit me at how many lives are impacted. This year I didn’t just catch the vision, I caught the heart.” John Schwendinger (of the Primordial Penguins)
“Conference is always amazing! I would probably need to count on my fingers and toes all the things I loved about International conference this year. To pick only ONE moment that stood out to me, is like asking Dr. Carl Hastings to pick his favorite Reliv product. So difficult to do! If I must choose, though, I would say one of the most memorable moments was touring the plant this year. Due to a work conflict I couldn’t get out of, I missed international conference last year. What I kept hearing from my husband, Robert, and a couple of our downline after they toured Reliv corporate headquarters in 2011, was the quality of people working for Reliv. They took the time in the tour to stop and talk to the team standing around greeting the Distributors as they walked through, and that’s what we did again this year.
On the tour, I got to meet an employee named Mike that they ranted and raved about last summer — an average gentleman with a heart of gold — who stood almost in tears thanking us for the work we do to put food on his table. He takes such pride in his job, which so happens to be placing cans in boxes, that they often take shorter lunches to get more work in to get product to us as fast as possible.
Every step of the tour we met people that were thanking us, when all we wanted to do was thank them for the work they do for us. It almost became a competition as to who could thank whom first. My heart was full of pride as I left that Sunday. What a great opportunity we have, with the corporate team behind us, to go out each and every day to share with all the passion I have about the greatest company in the world, Reliv International!” said Lauren Laird.
“The thing that really struck me about this conference is how big Reliv really is! My first conference was in Reno and I learned a lot and met a lot of great people. With St. Louis, the vision got bigger!
The conference also upped my personal goal. I want to do so much more with the Kalogris Foundation financially. Watching the Reliv Kalogris Foundation Rally was also so much fun! When one of the guys came up on stage to show us all the new school and orphanages that Reliv was able to open, it inspired me! I can’t wait to go to the next two conferences in Austin and Orlando — they’re going to be even bigger and better!” said Nathan Uhrich.
All of this reinforces a bigger picture of a bigger Reliv. I am so honored to be a Reliv Distributor and get paid to share the gift of hope to people! It is time for us to go out and share this picture! It is time to go out and change lives!
It’s GO time!
