Earning the freedom to make a difference.
When Harlan Humphrey retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years in the Army, he knew he didn’t want to work for someone else. So he left his native South Dakota and headed north to Alaska where he owned a remote lodge for several years. Meanwhile, he found Reliv and after getting great health results, he decided to return to Piedmont on the edge of the Black Hills to build his business.
“I always dreamed of owning a business where I could make a difference in people’s lives,” Harlan says. “Reliv grabbed my heart. With Reliv, I saw the opportunities for residual income and helping people. I knew the product worked and saw the compensation plan so I knew I would succeed in this business. Failure was not an option for me.”
Six years later, Harlan is a Presidential Silver Ambassador and Inner Circle member. “I always had a goal of becoming an Inner Circle member,” he says. “But it’s an honor to be part of Reliv to begin with. Helping so many people is most rewarding.”
Sharing a Passion, Embracing Success
Building the business wasn’t a smooth road in the beginning. It took Harlan a few stumbles to recognize the right way to build his business. “I made lots of mistakes in the beginning because I hadn’t embraced the Reliv System,” he explains. “Once I started using all aspects of the Reliv System and realized it was my road map to success, I followed it to where I am now.”
Harlan’s initial goals were to build a significant income and get out of debt. Now that he has reached a six-figure income with Reliv, his focus has changed.
“I want to help as many people as possible and give them hope,” he says. “Reliv changes lives. I have so much passion for Reliv today that I can’t imagine not sharing it. I’m passionate about both the business and the products, but we can touch even more lives with the business opportunity.”
Part of Harlan’s journey with Reliv has taken him around the world. “Lake Las Vegas was my eighth trip with Reliv and I’ve just recently earned two more trips,” he says. “The company spoils you rotten with these trips. Reliv cares so much about their Distributors.”
Beyond Financial Rewards
After a long career following orders, Harlan is enjoying his personal and financial freedom. “Reliv allows me the time and freedom to do things I choose to do and I’m leaving a legacy for my family. Sometimes I have to pinch myself. Because of Reliv, I have a nice home and get to travel around the country. I’m financially independent and my retirement is taken care of. Anyone who takes the business seriously can have this, too.”
Harlan is also enjoying his “personal heart checks,” compliments of Reliv. “I really enjoy the friendships I’ve made through Reliv,” he says. “In the Army, I never had close relationships because I was always moving. But there are no strangers in Reliv. Reliv offers so many rewards that are not financial. My purpose in life is complete now because I’m making a difference in this world. I love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else.”
