Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Reliv! It’s Reliv’s second annual LivGreen Week at Reliv headquarters!

Reliv’s mission to Nourish Our World extends beyond simply feeding it. We’re committed to taking care of it too. At Reliv headquarters, our employee-driven LivGreen initiative works to make Reliv a “greener” place to work. From our various recycling programs to more efficient lighting, Reliv has made a commitment to move toward a greener future.

Reliv has switched to 100% recycled paper in major publications and sales tools and more electronic communications, to save hundreds of pounds of paper in the past year. Just switching to 100% recycled paper in Lifestyle magazine alone has saved:
• 300 trees
• 103,480 lbs. of air emission
• 307,220 gallons of water
• 40,340 lbs. of solid waste

 Spring Greening

Everyone at Reliv can do a little spring cleaning at the office and at home. Eco-friendly cleaning products were placed throughout Reliv to allow employees to clean their workstations. We even handed out recipe cards that showed how to make homemade eco-friendly cleaning products. Check out the recipes here.

Donating is a good way to keep unwanted items out of the trash and landfills. That’s why we set up a collection for coats and shoes in the main break room. A less than stable economy has hit all of us – some more so than others. We are happy to see these gently worn shoes and coats find a new home thanks to charities Warner’s Warm Up and the Shoeman.

 Techno Trash Recycling

According to the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Americans now own approximately 24 electronic products per household. Recycling electronics prevents dangerous chemical materials from ending up in landfills and polluting our water and soil. On the last day of LivGreen week, employees brought in unwanted electronics to be recycled. This year, we will once again recycle hundreds of pounds of electronics waste here at Reliv headquarters. Check out the video from last year!
